Group murals

Big pictures built by a whole group. Each student builds one 12 × 12 plate on their own square tray, then everyone pushes their trays together to reveal the mural. 32 murals for 3 to 9 builders, free to print.

  1. Choose a mural

Pick one that matches your group size: 3, 4, 6 or 9 builders. Each builder needs their own square tray.

  2. Hand out the plate sheets

Print one sheet per student. Each sheet shows that student's plate, its tile counts and where it sits in the mural.

  3. Build your plate

Every plate fits in one standard box, so nobody has to share tiles. Use the row letters and column numbers to keep your place.

  4. Push the trays together

Line the trays up using the plate map: A1 top left, then across and down. The big picture appears all at once.

Geometry and Math Murals

Quilts, a mandala and a fractal. In the quilts, every plate is a complete quilt block on its own.

Landmarks and Monuments

Famous buildings and bridges from around the world.

Dinosaurs

Five dinosaurs, each striped or spotted so every plate fits one box.

Space

Rockets, planets and a moon landing.

Animals

Big animals that need a big picture.

Vehicles

Trains, ships, planes and a fire truck.
